## Caption

Something New in Tattooing (and AI) [and Still by Hand]; and yet it makes you feel something doesn’t it?

[The caption is the image as much as the image is the caption; and that’s the post or maybe the point]
* This is a tattoo practice that starts with the hand. Every design begins as a manually drawn form—flat, minimal, repetitive. From there, it is passed through a second process: digital augmentation using AI.

The machine does not create the work. It collaborates. It expands the field—introducing texture, interference, structure. What begins as analogue is layered with algorithmic image synthesis, then reduced back to a final form: a stencil. Designed to be worn. Fixed to skin.

The result is a synthetic tattoo image. Not symbolic. Not narrative. It does not reference anything. It holds presence. It behaves more like interface or residue than decoration.

This process redefines what a tattoo can be:
• Drawn by hand
• Refined by machine
• Returned to the body

It is not aesthetic, not expressive.
It is system.
It is structure.
It is a mark made with both human and machine attention.
And it stays.

It makes some people uncomfortable.
Not because it says too much—but because it came from something else.
Something synthetic.
No symbol. No memory. No human backstory.
And still, it leaves a feeling.
It creates an emotional residue without offering a reason.
It looks empty. It lingers.
That unease is not accidental.
It is the structure.
It is the point.
