Profesores, hagamos un ejercicio juntos: imaginemos al docente ideal. ¿Sería alguien que siempre tiene una respuesta para cada pregunta, que atiende a los estudiantes con una sonrisa, dispuesto a repetir una lección 10, 15 o 20 veces si es necesario? ¿Y qué tal si estuviera disponible las 24 horas para resolver cualquier inquietud durante el proceso de aprendizaje?

Eso es ChatGPT-4-Omni, un sistema multimodal que recibe información por texto, voz y video, y responde en tiempo real. Imagina dar una lección sobre el Teorema de Pitágoras: “¿Puedes identificar el tamaño del triángulo opuesto, adyacente e hipotenusa en relación al ángulo alfa?” Aunque todavía puede haber margen de error, como confundir el lado adyacente con la hipotenusa, este sistema ofrece un apoyo continuo y flexible para la educación.

Aun así, características como la autoridad y el criterio en la enseñanza son aspectos que la inteligencia artificial aún está lejos de alcanzar.
