HOW TO MAKE IT CINEMATIC 🎬

Most people think cinematic footage comes from expensive gear.
That’s the fastest way to stay stuck.

What actually makes a shot feel cinematic is intentional choices — not the camera.

Here’s what’s really happening in this clip:

1. Motion
I’m following the 180° shutter rule.
At 24fps, that means a shutter around 1/48–1/50.
This creates natural motion blur that feels like film, not video.

2. Lighting
I didn’t light the whole room.
I placed the light to shape the subject and let shadows exist.
Contrast is what gives the image depth.

3. Color & contrast
Cinematic doesn’t mean “colorful.”
It means controlled highlights, darker shadows, and a consistent mood.

4. Composition
Pay attention to framing.
Use doors, windows, or light falloff to guide the eye.
Every element in the frame should feel intentional.

None of this requires fancy gear.
It requires slowing down and thinking before you press record.

If you want your footage to look like it belongs in a film,
stop chasing settings — and start chasing decisions.

Save this and try it on your next shoot 🎥
