When do you know you’re financially ready for kids?

As a double income, no kids (yet) couple, here’s what’s on our financial readiness checklist:

💳 No high interest debt to ensure our monthly expenses are as low as possible

🏥 Solid health insurance to help offset the cost of delivery (thankfully, my husband’s still in corporate)

👶🏻 A $20K starter baby fund — for the crib, stroller, diapers, formula… and honestly, after learning how important hiring help is, I’m wondering if that’s even enough
