These are my top 5 image generators in 2025, ranked after actually using them.

Number 5 - Midjourney v7
Pros:
Best aesthetics overall. Great for creative work, photography, artistic and stylized images. Draft Mode is fast and cheap for testing ideas before final renders.
Cons:
Still struggles with text, especially longer words and sentences. Not reliable for ads, posters, layouts, or design work.

Number 4 - Ideogram v3
Pros:
Excellent for creative design, social graphics, logos, and typography. Handles long text well and is very strong at character consistency.
Cons:
Not the best at realism. Can struggle with complex or busy scenes that require accurate real-world detail.

Number 3 - Seedream 4.5
Pros:
Great for typography, posters, product shots, and marketing visuals. Supports image editing, combining multiple elements in one scene, and keeping multiple characters consistent.
Cons:
Realism can break in real-world scenes. Multi-reference images are not always accurate and can introduce mistakes.

Number 2 - FLUX.2
Pros:
Probably the best model for realism right now. Very strong prompt following. Handles text stylization, full infographics, and brand or character consistency extremely well.
Cons:
Even with support for up to 10 reference images, it can mix them up. Results are not always perfectly consistent in complex edits.

Number 1 - Nano Banana Pro
Pros:
Studio-quality image generation. Clean marketing visuals. Best-in-class text rendering. Handles long and complex infographics extremely well. Strong image editing and character consistency.
Cons:
Can struggle with realism and real-world accuracy in complex scenes. Logic-based details can still break, and bias can appear in some outputs.
