I’ve been studying part-time for my Private Pilot License for two years now.
I know, it’s a long journey! But between working (and all my travels), I’ve had to pace myself to manage the schedule, and to pay for the flying hours!

👉 Just to clarify — you don’t need to have all the money upfront 💰. I’ve been paying for my flight lessons lesson by lesson (without going into debt). Basically, I would get my paycheck, and fly that week. If I didn’t have enough, I would simply pause for a few days.

🧐 It’s important to understand that the more continuity you give to your studies and flights, the cheaper it becomes! If you take long breaks between flights, chances are you’ll have to repeat some lessons.

🇨🇦 You don’t need to be a Canadian resident to study (unless you want to pursuit a military careers) You can apply for a student visa (although this might limit your ability to work, depending on immigration rules — sometimes they allow part-time work, sometimes full-time, and it changes often).

Would it be cheaper in your home country?
 — let me know how much and where you trained! 📚

Cheers,
Daniela
