I’ve been thinking a lot about the women who want the best for us. The women who brainstorm your marketing ideas over a jog. The women who give up their coffee break to rehearse your speech. The women who, even in the quiet hours of the morning with their own lists waiting, still make time to introduce you to someone who can lift you higher.

The men who root for you and take you seriously. The men who defend your worth when you’re not in the room. The men who clear a shelf to make space for your product. The men who pull up an extra chair so you’re included in the collaboration.

And the neighbors, parents, family members who buy your first samples.

Starting a business is not for the faint of heart—whether it’s a passion project yearning for a spotlight or a bold idea aiming to change an industry. What makes it possible is not just vision or grit, but community.

Because success isn’t meant to be carried alone—it’s about finding people who fill your cup until it overflows. People who celebrate your wins, challenge you to grow, and stick by you when the going gets tough. And, if you’re fortunate, you get to be that for someone else too.
