… I love dressing up. (lately I feel I “used to”) Doing my hair, experimenting with makeup, haircuts and what not (or as I call it; colouring myself), buying cute stuff.. just because… it made me feel good. 

I still suck at doing my own makeup majorly! The eyeliner never matches (shoutout to my motor skills 💀), so I always rely on my sisters, family, friends, or the occasional MUAs to make me look halfway decent.

But somewhere along the way, I think I don’t enjoy it like I used to. 

The hardest part of adulthood for me has been watching pieces of myself fade away—the ones I loved the most. Missing my closest friends’ weddings and once in a lifetime events because ..well…life? Never thought I would. But then… adulthood happened.

This year, I have made a quiet resolution: to come back to the little things that spark joy. Home decor. Organizing my drawers. Doing my own makeup. Wearing the sarees I once dreamt of (90% of my trousseau is still untouched btw). Putting on lip tint, even if the blush looks like war paint.

This post is just a gentle nudge to myself, (and self admiration and validation lol) to stay on the grid, to care again. To not look like a feral goblin every day. To reclaim the soft, feminine, chaotic parts of me I miss.
