What if our health outcomes had less to do with access to the latest drugs—and more to do with how we treat the oldest medicine on Earth?

🌿 In Switzerland, Germany, and Canada, herbal medicine is supported by centralized government monographs—official documents that define an herb’s chemistry, actions, dosage, and safety.

🌿 These countries recognize herbalists as part of a broader integrative system. Many midwives are licensed. Doulas are respected. Prevention matters. Collaboration is possible.

🌿 In the U.S.? We treat medicinal plants as food. No insurance coverage. No clinical guidelines. No partnerships between herbalists and doctors. Just a supplement aisle—and a system that pretends we’re not here.

But we are.

We’re blending teas. Growing medicine. Supporting migraines, anxiety, inflammation, digestion—not just symptoms, but whole people.

And still, we’re shut out.

🧪 1 in 4 prescriptions still trace back to plant chemistry.
🌿 Botanicals make up nearly 40% of the supplement market.
⏳ And yet herbalists are blocked from contributing to healthcare in meaningful, insured, recognized ways.

Maybe that’s why these countries live longer. Maybe it’s time we changed that.
