What’s “different” for some kids is perfectly normal for mine.
Big feelings, sensory overwhelm, deep emotions, losing focus, hyperfocus, social confusion — all normal for a 9-year-old with ADHD + Level 1 Autism.

And understanding that has helped me give him so much more grace.
Because when I learn what’s normal for his brain, I learn how to raise him with patience instead of pressure —
and that’s how we break the cycle.

Raising him isn’t about fixing him…
It’s about understanding him.
And loving him the way he needs to be loved. 💙✨
