As technologists we don’t only have the legal obligation to make our products, devices, or services accessible to as many people as possible.

We have the human obligation to go beyond checking things off the guidelines when creating our products, devices, or services. I’d like to encourage all of us to be a bit more compassionate towards people with disabilities. Make sure the things we put out for people consume are

1. Accessible
2. Usable
3. Enjoyable

Being inclusive and going beyond what’s required to ensure we deliver a delightful experience to diverse groups of people is something I believe drives #innovation and make the world a better place

Today’s #bytesized #tips 
1️⃣ When designing or implementing something, think beyond your “typical” consumers

2️⃣ Consider accessibility from the start and add it to your definition of done to minimize costs (money, resources)

3️⃣ Remember, inaccessible products might be inconvenient for some, but a blocker for others. Test for accessibility (a11y) before releasing them to your valuable consumers
