🎈Last weekend, I took a long, bumpy road trip back to Calabar.

Not for leisure. Not for nostalgia — though both found me.

I went to honor a friend and colleague, and to stand with him as he bid farewell to his dear mother.

What followed was a journey that turned into something more:

✅ A night in a neighborhood I once only dreamed of
✅ A visit to the church where I had my First Holy Communion
✅ A walk through my old schools
✅ A heartfelt reunion with a classmate after 43 years

This trip reminded me: true friendship shows up, no matter the distance.
