AI is an incredible tool.
I use it, you probably use it, and if you’re in the content world, it can save hours. But there’s a difference between using AI to support your ideas… and letting it write like you’re drafting an internal memo for a Fortune 500. 😂

Here are some common signs that scream “ChatGPT wrote this” (and how to avoid them):

- Cringe transitions:
If your post starts with “The brutal truth?” or “What’s the catch?” 🙄. Would you actually say that in a conversation? If not, rewrite it in your voice.

- Corporate buzzwords:
“Leverage,” “facilitate,” “synergy,” “impactful”, these words are everywhere in AI-generated text. But they often flatten your message and make you sound like an old c-level, not a creator.

- Alliteration overload:
ChatGPT loves a good trio: “innovative, intuitive, inspiring.” It looks polished… but sounds generic. Instead, break the pattern and say something you would say.

- Vocabulary time travel:
No one casually uses words like “ameliorate” or phrases like “rich tapestry” unless they’re writing a thesis (and still..).

-The em dash epidemic:
AI loves to interrupt itself — constantly — like this. Use it sparingly, or it becomes your whole personality.

The fix? Use AI as a starting point, not the finish line.
Add your tone. Add your weird metaphors. Keep the structure if it’s helpful, but bring your voice to the front. That’s what actually connects with people.
