Hi my beautiful friends! I hope you’ve been having a wonderful and relaxed weekend so far!! Up here in the North East, we’re on another round of snow… wet snow… so no falling on our backs.

🤷🏼‍♀️
Thank God though, I’m feeling much better now thanks to borrowing my fur baby’s heated blanket all week!!🦦🦦🦦

On to sharing more things that inspire me and my jewelry themes!
I am obsessed with ancient temples and churches!!
Especially stone carvings, window arches, gem-encrusted walls and carved wooden doors.. #spiritualinspo #architecturalinspo
🛕⛩⛪️🕍🕌
Here is a beautifully taken photo (secret_temples) of “ℍ𝕠𝕪𝕤𝕒𝕝𝕖𝕤𝕙𝕨𝕒𝕣𝕒 𝕋𝕖𝕞𝕡𝕝𝕖”, a stunning 12th-century (1120 C.E.) temple dedicated to Hindu God, Lord Shiva. 🔱🕉🐍This architectural beauty, surrounded by picturesque ponds, mantapas and lakes, is located in the town of Halebidu (former capital of the Hoysala Empire) in the state of Karnataka, India.
🔱
The Hoysaleswara temple, entirely carved from SOAPSTONE (!), is a twin-temple dedicated to Hoysaleswara and Santaleswara Shiva Lingas, named after the masculine and feminine aspects.
The temple is notable for its thousands of stunning sculptures (𝓈𝓌𝒾𝓅𝑒 👈🏼) and paintings, intricate reliefs, detailed friezes, with its history, iconography, and exquisite artwork depicting a window into the life and culture in 12th century South India, as well as Hindu theology (Shivaism, Shaktism, Vishnaism) and Vedic legends.
There is a beautiful image of a dancing Ganesha at the entrance of the temple.
🐘🕉
Sadly in the 14th century, the temple was plundered, looted and destroyed by invading armies. Tragically things haven’t changed in Modern times. 😪(#prayforUkraine 🇺🇦)
It’s spiritual, cultural and majestic beauty cannot and will never be undone!
💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
