We are thrilled to welcome the incredible Ranada Shepard as a panelist at our Afro-Latino Culture Fest! 🎉✨ Join us for the “Afro-Latino Identity in Hollywood and Media” panel, where Ranada will share her journey and insights as one of the first Afro-Latina showrunners for an animated project.
 
This year, Ranada serves as the co-creator, showrunner, and executive producer of the animated reboot of Norman Lear’s “Good Times” on Netflix. The show features an all-star cast including JB Smoove, Yvette Nicole Brown, Jay Pharoah, Marsai Martin, Slink Johnson, and Rashida “Sheedz” Olayiwola. 🌟
 
Raised on the south side of Chicago and with an impressive career in film and television, Ranada has made her mark with projects like Disney+’s “Lizzie McGuire,” HBO Max’s “Young Love,” and many more. Her passion for mentoring young Afro-Latino creatives and her dedication to celebrating identity and culture make her a perfect fit for our festival.
