## Caption

Since the Russian republic of Chechnya began its purge of #LGBTI people, hundreds of LGBTI refugees are seeking safety. Lives have been displaced, lost, and erased. 
Even when granted asylum in new countries, these refugees continue to live in hiding and fear for their loved ones back home who risk being identified, imprisoned, or executed in the very detention facilities they fled in #Chechnya. 
The subject in this photo was photographed in a manner to maintain his anonymity to remind us that the international community is failing queer Chechen people, and because he is now forced to live an anonymous life.
