GUYS you’ve got to try this hidden veggie protein packed mac & cheese!!! Bc don’t you know the best way to get your kid to eat their veggies is to hide them in your pasta sauce?? 😅

I’ve been trying to get creative with sneaking veggies + more protein in the boys food and this one was a home run!! 

I boiled the pasta in @kettleandfire bone broth which is packed with a TON of extra nutrients & protein. Plus the pureed cauliflower is the perfect veggie to hide in the mac + cheese,  making a delicious nutrient packed meal for you or your kiddos! Plus, trust me when I say, it tastes SO GOOD. Everett keeps asking for more of “mommy’s pasta, so yummy!”.

HIDDEN VEGGIE PROTEIN PACKED MAC + CHEESE 🧀 

Ingredients 

-1 box of cavatappi pasta
-1.5-2 cups of of steamed cauliflower, blended (I used a steam in bag cauliflower for convenience!)
-32 oz of @kettleandfire bone broth
-2 TB of butter
-1 cup of milk
-1 cup of heavy cream
-2.5 cups of shredded white cheddar
-salt and pepper to taste

Bring bone broth to a boil with additional water to cover pasta. Cook until al dente. 

Steam cauliflower and blend with a splash of milk until consistency is creamy. 

Heat pan over medium heat. Add butter and cauliflower puree. Add milk and heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Add white cheddar with freshly cracked black pepper. Add pasta directly to pan, top with pepper and serve.
