🇬🇧 It is located in rua das Carmelitas, in the historic center of Porto and is considered one of the most beautiful bookshops in the world.  This is the Livraria Lello and Irmão, a must for anyone passing through the Portuguese city.  Entering the narrow streets of the ancient part of the city, one cannot fail to notice the facade of the library, a mix of Neo-Gothic and Liberty style.  It is believed that both the stairs of the famous Hogwarts magic school and the bookshop in Diagon Alley were inspired by this place: JK Rowling, in fact, used to go to the bookshop when she lived and taught English in the Portuguese town in the 1950s 90.

🇮🇹 Si trova in rua das Carmelitas, nel centro storico di Porto ed è ritenuta una delle librerie più belle al mondo. Si tratta della Livraria Lello e Irmão, tappa obbligata per chi passa dalla città portoghese. Addentrandosi per le vie stretto della parte antica della città, non si può non notare la facciata della libreria, un mix di Neogotico e stile Liberty. Si ritiene che, sia le scale della famosa scuola di magia di Hogwarts che la libreria in Diagon Alley, siano stati ispirati da questo luogo: JK Rowling, infatti, era solita frequentare la libreria quando viveva e insegnava inglese nella cittadina portoghese, negli anni ’90.
