Since the 1960s, government policies have encouraged large-scale reforestation. Now around 60% of South Korea is covered in restored forest.

South Korea’s example serves as a potential working model for other nations facing severe forest loss. Reforestation will play a crucial role in our fight against #climatechange, as trees are the Earth’s natural carbon dioxide absorbers, which they do at no cost.”
