This night at the Centre for Newcomers fundraising dinner, I stood on that stage carrying stories, journeys and the quiet resilience of every newcomer who chose courage over comfort.

Because being a newcomer is proof of boldness. It is evidence of vision. It is the willingness to start again and still believe you can win.

The truth is this. Talent is everywhere. Opportunity is not. And rooms like this are where we begin to close that gap.

This is why we show up. This is why we give. This is why we lead.

Because when one person gains access, an entire generation shifts.
