Since 2000, global efforts against malaria have saved an estimated 6.8 million lives. The U.S. government is the largest contributor to programs that combat malaria through its support for the @globalfund and the President’s Malaria Initiative, as well as the work of @unitednations agencies like the @WHO, @UNICEF, and @refugees. Today, advocates from the UN Foundation’s @nothingbutnetsofficial campaign - together with actress and champion @alexandradaddario and cofounder @reillyroad - visited with @repjohnblarson and other elected officials to advocate for continued U.S. funding to end malaria.
