La Barquita is a precarious neighborhood subject to flooding along the polluted Ozama river. Floods up to 6 meters occur several times a year due to the increase of extreme weather events caused by #globalwarming

The Dominican Republican state has decided to move its 7,000 inhabitants into social accommodation built on the other bank of the river.

In 10 years, these families will become owners of the apartment they moved into.
