"Curiosity doesn't kill, despite what supposedly happened to the cat" - fellow conference-goer on why #scicomm is important 😂😹 This past weekend, we learned all about how to spread curiosity through #scicomm strategies to help kids & youth across Canada explore the wonderful possibilities in the world of #STEAM!
What an incredible experience at the @ltscience_ps #NCON19 #CONFN19!! C'était vraiment un grand plaisir d'avoir participé 😄 🙏🏼 *** Many thanks to all the fabulous @ltscience_ps staff for organizing! It was truly inspiring to meet new friends and reconnect with old ones [give us a shout anytime you're in Toronto!😄❤], while we all shared and learned about new #scicomm & outreach opportunities and strategies. And we were excited to have had the opportunity to share our experiences as panel members on large scale outreach and partnerships with Indigenous communities! *** Such an honour to chat with the always amazing #LTS founder Bonnie Schmidt and the inspiring superfan of science and superstar @davidihewlett, who helped end the conference with a bang, delivering a motivating speech about #STEAM! 😎👏🏼 In the words of @davidhewlett, "curiosity is contagious"...and we can't wait to start implementing all the new things we've learned!!!
