I never share things like this but I’ve suffered with cystic acne from middle school- sophomore year of college, basically 8 years of my life. I’ve  tried everything when it comes to prescription medication for my skin, but nothing worked. I felt like I was the only one in my family and school with cystic acne that wouldn’t go away. I’ve always felt like acne defined me and that’s all people would see.  I’ve even been told “your face looks ugly with all that acne.” However, there was certain point in college where I couldn’t take it anymore and my acne was affecting my grades, I couldn’t get out of bed, brush my teeth, like I literally couldn’t do anything. I would be afraid to show up to class or basically get out of my house. So, I started taking Accutane. I know everyone is on their own journey with acne, but Accutane save me. It saved my MENTAL HEALTH. It was the hardest process I’ve ever had to go through but it was so worth it. My day is no longer consumed with worrying about my acne and feeling like I’m not beautiful enough. And I could actually focus on my schooling and life again. Accutane wasn’t easy, but tbh good things in life are never easy. #accutane #accutanejourney
