Still reeling from the fantastic #CodeHer celebration in honor of 54 phenomenal women in tech who participated in our annual 24hour women only hackathon building solutions for some of the pressing challenges in the creative economy. 

This year’s edition in collaboration with unwomen and hevafund focused on the creative and platform economy - birthing AI augmented solutions for financial inclusion, credit scoring, Data analysis and boy weren’t we awed! 

I’ve had the opportunity to attend, judge and preside over lots of #Hackathons but always wondered why there weren’t any overnight sessions for young women - who most term as delicate and resource intensive - plpafrica diversity and inclusion is our core value and so we lead by example: 40% of our scholarships per cohort have to go to young women; our board is comprised of 50% women; and my leadership team is at 50% women too. 

We walk the talk. Seeing this come to life in the way it deed affirmed to me the resolve must continue - and next year we scale it 100% higher.
