🥂Have you ever tasted tradition wrapped in flaky pastry and kissed with fire-roasted flavor? 🇺🇿🔥

I had the absolute pleasure of dining with Mazali, an Uzbek gem tucked inside City Kitch Charlotte. This husband and wife duo are doing more than just cooking, they’re preserving a culture, one bite at a time.

We started with achuchik salad, a bright, refreshing mix that danced across the palate. Then came the samsa pastries: golden, savory bundles filled with pumpkin, beef, potato, and chicken, each one telling its own delicious story. And the tabaka chicken? Marinated to perfection and pan-pressed until the skin was crispy and bursting with flavor.

Every dish felt like a bridge, between centuries-old recipes and fresh, local ingredients, between tradition and innovation, and between heart and home.

Mazali means delicious in Uzbek, and I can honestly say—it’s more than a name, it’s a promise.
