😷🧠 Meningitis symptoms every student needs to know right now — including the signs that appear BEFORE the rash. As a doctor, here's what I want you to know about the UK meningitis B outbreak in Kent. 

Early signs can feel like flu or a hangover: fever, headache, nausea. Later signs include stiff neck, sensitivity to light, drowsiness and seizures. 

The non-fading rash is a late sign — and not everyone gets it. On darker skin, it may look different. 

If you suspect meningitis, call 999 or go to A&E immediately. Do not wait for all symptoms to appear. Follow the latest updates from the @nhs and @ukhsa.
