It's World Immunization Week and I wanted to highlight the amazing work that UNICEF and the WHO are doing to fund and prioritise vaccines in 2024. I feel so proud to be working with these amazing organisations in the fight to reduce illness and deaths from preventable diseases.

It's the 50th anniversary of the Essential Programme on Immunization. Immunizations have saved 6 lives every minute, every day, for the past 50 years. That's 154 million lives - an incredible achievement. We've eradicated smallpox, and now we have to do the same for measles, polio and cervical cancer.

The Humanly Possible campaign aims to call on world leaders to fund and prioritise vaccines in 2024.

We're making such great progress in saving children's lives. And with new vaccines on the way like the one for malaria, the future looks bright. Let's keep it up, because every child deserves a life.
