You’ve probably heard that plastic landscape fabric is bad for your garden and the environment. But is using cardboard any better? I use cardboard to fight weeds under a thick layer of wood chips. It breaks down fast, so I haven’t had any issues with hydrophobic soil, and allows me to quickly and easily create new garden beds. But there are a couple of things you should look out for to make sure you’re using the right cardboard for your garden.
