If your home has been feeling heavy for a while, this might be why.

Sometimes it’s not that you’re lazy.

It’s not that you need better motivation.

It’s not even that you need more storage bins.

You might just have too many things.

And too many things will quietly steal your peace.

🚩 SIGNS YOU HAVE TOO MANY THINGS IN YOUR HOUSE

1. You Can’t Close Drawers Easily
You’re overfilling storage instead of editing what’s inside.
Declutter tip: Empty the drawer completely. Put back only what you use, need, and that fits comfortably.

2. You Feel Overwhelmed By Your Space
There’s too much going on.
Declutter tip: Start with one visible area (coffee table, kitchen island). Clear space = instant calm.

3. You’re Saving Items to Sell ‘One Day’
You’re storing potential, not value.
Declutter tip: Give yourself a deadline to list it. If it doesn’t sell, donate.

4. You Don’t Know What’s in Your Storage Room
‘Out of sight’ has become permanent storage.
Declutter tip: Go through your storage room. If you forgot you owned it, question its value. Then create an inventory list.

5. Your Counters Are Never Clear
Surfaces have ‘permanently’ become storage.
Declutter tip: Clear everything. Only return daily-use items. Everything else needs a cabinet, proper storage, or it goes.

6. You Keep Buying Duplicates
You know you have it, you just can’t find it so you buy a new one. You can’t see what you already own.
Declutter tip: Do a ‘duplicate sweep’(scissors, tape, cleaning sprays, etc.). Keep what you need and donate the rest.

You don’t need a bigger house.

You need fewer things and better systems.

Start small.
One drawer.
One counter.
One storage shelf.

Peace in your home isn’t created in a weekend overhaul.

It’s created in small, intentional edits.

Save this for your next reset day 🤍
