## Caption

This is BAPS Swaminaryan Akshardham in Robbinsville, New Jersey, and it’s the largest Hindu temple in the western hemisphere. It’s located about one hour from NYC and is built entirely from hand carved marble and limestone that was shipped here from India then assembled on site.

It’s free to visit and open to the public from 9am - 7:30pm everyday except Tuesdays. 

Modest clothing is required (no shorts or tank tops), and you’ll need to refrain from taking photos or videos and remove your shoes before entering the Mandir so bringing socks is a smart idea.

Photos and videos are welcome outside the mandir, but not inside. Give yourself 1-2 hours to explore, or more if you love peaceful spots like this!
