## Caption

One year ago today I got an opportunity that changed my life. I got to see @potus46archive @joebiden speak on the South Lawn of the White House on the Anniversary of the Americans With Disabilities Act. I will never feel fully deserving of this honor and I am still in awe that it ever even happened. 

I had never been in a setting like this, with so many disabled change makers in one room. Disabled advocates, creatives, politicians, writers, etc.
Some I had known already, many I had yet to meet—and I now look up to every day.

I pray I get to go back to The White House one day, under another truly inclusive administration such as this one. Of course it had its flaws, but this was the first and most inclusive environment I had ever witnessed in politics, and what scares me is how long it will take to get back to a baseline similar to it. But I am determined to get there and bring you all with me. #accessibility  #americanswithdisabilitiesact #disabilityadvocacy
