It’s okay to not be okay.
It’s okay to not be okay about gender and racial biases.
It’s okay to not be okay about death.
It’s okay to not be okay about politics.
It’s okay to not be okay about war.
It’s okay to not be okay about religion.
It’s okay to not be okay about conflict.
It’s okay to not be okay about g3n0c!de.
It’s okay to not be okay about reproductive rights.
It’s okay to not be okay about climate change.
It’s okay to not be okay about human and civil rights.

The list goes on and on.

The illusion is in the culture we are conditioned in - to bypass what we are not okay with, as a means for survival. 

Understanding yourself in this supports integration into actionable expression. 

We may not be able to understand why the world continues in its dysfunction. We may only ever know why we made the choice to be here. Day by day I learn more about how to choose to still be here loudly.

Its been 14 years since I wore a costume out of a psychiatric ward with a dear friend who came to pick me up after my children’s father left me there and told me to find my own way out. Institutionalization is not the answer to abused women who are waking up and then pathologized for it, who are living in abuse, and also not protected from the abuse. The cycle of women being villainized has gone on since the beginning of time: devils, serpents, witches, healers, sisters, wives, mothers, aunts, grandmothers. 

Women in Afghanistan have been silenced from even speaking to one another.

Women are taking their power back by taking their lives in protest to war crimes & r*p3. 

Whole generations are being wiped out right now - mothers, children and babies due to g3n0c!de.

As women we are not okay as long as this continues to to be perpetuated to exist in the world. 

Many are asking and getting no answers. If the only reason I am here is to challenge with WHY, and use my voice to be loud, I’m fine with that. Change doesn’t happen in passivity. Change happens in action in the dark night of the soul.
