## Caption

Healing compounding complex trauma has been a process of peeling back layers to reveal the source of pain, while reparenting the inner child in the process.

Questions I’ve asked in shadow work containers:

What led me to putting myself last?
In what ways have I compromised myself for others?
Why do I feel shame for choosing myself?
What is my fear in letting people down?
Why am I afraid to be perceived?
Who / what was not safe for me as a child?
How do I create a life that feels safe for me now?
In what ways have I subconsciously been complicit?
In what ways have I subconsciously been a victim?
What victim stories do I have a personality attachment to?
Who would I be if I am not a victim to my circumstances?
How can I show up for myself when I feel let down by others?
In what ways did I need to be seen that I was not as a child?
What parts of my essence did I attempt to erase in order to feel love and accepted as a human?
Who am I independent of what happened to me?
What judgements do I have about myself?
What judgements do I have about others that reveal things about who I am as a person? 

We don’t know what we don’t know, but when know better, we do better. 

Diving into the shadows has helped me reclaim the wild fierce little girl who minimized herself in order to fit in. These questions have really supported me this last year in releasing patterns and behaviors that no longer serve me. What is no longer serving you?
