Six years ago yesterday, I stood on a stage and delivered my very first paid speaking engagement.

The title of my talk was “The Present Is a Gift.”

What made it even more meaningful was this simple sentence from the organizer: “I want you to speak at my event — and I’m going to pay you.”

At the time, I had only been in business seven months. I was showing up, attending events, learning, pouring, trusting… and that moment reminded me that someone saw my worth before I fully saw it myself. Thank you to tasiacharde and everyone who has supported my entrepreneurial journey 🩵

Entrepreneurship has been one of the hardest — and most fulfilling — things I’ve ever done. I’m grateful that I get to help other entrepreneurs build in ways that protect their health, energy, and purpose.

What’s powerful is that the message I taught then is still the message I teach now: burnout prevention, healthy balance, and sustainable growth.

Just last night, I hosted the first of many Content Planning Parties.
We didn’t just talk about content — we worked. People left with clarity, new tools, and posted content they’re already seeing results from.

But here’s something I’ve rarely shared…

That day, I was speaking to a room of LA women just hours after we learned of Kobe Bryant and his daughter’s passing. The room was heavy with grief.

At the same time, I was quietly navigating health challenges and a separation that would later lead to divorce — something no one knew at the time.

Still, I stood.
Still, I poured.
Still, I delivered hope.

Looking back, I’m grateful I didn’t quit.

So if you take anything from this today, let it be this:
✨ Rest when you need to — but never quit.
