Happy Sunday, y’all! We woke up with an extra hour of day light and I hope this finds you having got a few extra holes in today. It’s Kendra here bringing you the final three holes of the urban golf course pin locations in NW Portland.

Hole #7 takes us straight down NW 22nd for what I would consider the #9 handicap hole on the course. There’s not a whole heck of a lot to this one! Just avoid hitting your shot over any fences, barbed wire will prevent you from fetching them ;) look for the pin resting up against the building with a blue horizontal stripe, and a yellow vertical stripe. Get your birdie here and carry that momentum into the final two holes!

Hole #8 takes us clear across the bridge over Highway 30; the longest walk between holes on this course. Take in the city views behind you or even stop for a quick Iced “Kicker” at Dutch Bros Coffee. You’ll need some caffeine for the walk. This specific pin location is one of my favorites. It’s right up against Catfish Lou’s, a former Portland staple. It’s a sneaky sharp dog left into the approach, so play your shout out wide to the right to give you the best angle possible.

Hole #9 is our grand finale. You should play this as a Par-3, as it’s just down the street from Catfish Lou’s. Allow your sense of smell to be the guide here, the pin is located up against the 2nd tagged shipping container, just short of some of the best food carts in Portland that you’ll surely be able to smell. As soon as you putt out, I highly recommend grabbing a burrito at El Diablito for your 19th hole activities— and then, go loop it up again!

It’s been a pleasure reimagining these holes for y’all the last couple of weeks. The achilles rehab is slow, but steady. Being able to do things like this allows me to feel not so trapped, and a sense of adventure. When I’m back on my feet this summer, rest assured you can find me on the streets in NW Portland making my way around this special track! // #golfishome #golfiseverywhere
