To be nominated by the city that raised me, feels full circle. 🤍🗽

I had the honor of being selected as a nominee for the Shine & Support Award at the nycherfuture TrailblazHER Awards: Equity in Bloom 💐 This specific award nomination celebrates leaders and organizations creating significant impact for young women and gender-expansive youth in New York City. To honor those working to break cycles of disadvantage and provide tools for success.

This event was held at the New York County Supreme Court and supported by the Mayor’s Office of Equity & Racial Justice, celebrating women uplifting girls and young women of color across NYC.

Out of thousands of applications across New York City, to be chosen as 1 of 4 women representing a nonprofit organization is an honor I carry with deep gratitude.

I’m especially honored to have been alongside such impactful women and organizations ✨ Iman Mergen (webelonghereny ), Naomi Wright (fortuneandforks), and Christina Sookhoo (glamourgals). It was a privilege to be in such powerful company!

My personal brand was built from survival, transforming my passion into purpose, and my purpose into a legacy-driven career that gives back to the same community that gave me the opportunity to create opportunities for others.

My platform, theprogressgoddess, was born from navigating the complex healing process of an emotionally traumatic childhood, transitioning into becoming the blueprint being a woman who breaks generational cycles and leading the path to open doors to a new beginning. Not just ending negative patterns, but building the foundation I didn’t have, for the next generation.

To be recognized for this work, in this city, I carry with both enormous pride and responsibility. 

And I will continue to show up for with that intention in every dimension of who I am and what I do.
