An honor to sit down as Reina Cultural Puerto Riqueña 👸🏽🇵🇷with bronxnettv for a special Community Spotlight, alongside el Rey🤴🏽 rubensworldtv Thank you you so much jomil_jones for creating space for us to share what this moment, and this title, truly mean.

I made this appearance with my natural  curls as a statement - so that we can be reminded of how authenticity and who we are will always be most beautiful. To see ourselves seen and represented in a multitude of ways, microscopic and monumental - to show up in every way with intention, matters and contributes to making a difference. 

As your First Place Queen of the Bronx Puerto Rican Cultural Pageant, this next chapter for me is about deepening my work in community advocacy, uplifting culture with pride, and showing up as a voice for those who’ve ever felt unseen. I’m leaning into opportunities that align with that mission that I’ve carried in my heart long before this crown was physical, back when it was a mere metaphor of faith in self to proclaim possibilities for a Latina woman like me. My passion for showing up unravels through mentorship, public speaking, coordinating events with intention, and projects that pour back into the spaces that raised me.

From storytelling to service, from creating content that unites community in digital spaces to replicating that magic in physical spaces that provide a platform to open doors for one another. This conversation was just the beginning to share in depth, why I started this journey and where we plan to move forward from here. Alongside el Rey, Ruben Santana sharing his inspiring mission with call to action as a fellow Mental Health Advocate. We are testimonies of how all can be achieved through believing in yourself enough to take the first step.
