Last Night, I had the opportunity to attend a private event with the @tiktok Public Policy Team in Brooklyn. 💻🗣️📸

Left feeling deeply empowered to content creating to amplify my voice as a Latina Creative and full-time Digital Entrepreneur scaling with purpose to contribute to being the change and representation I aimed to see.

This is a video from the archives of my FIRST time attending the TikTok HQ space in New York City. Reflecting candidly on the misconception that the amount of followers you have determines how successful you will be in this industry. I’m a firm believer that community impact and genuine purpose-driven content created with honest intention excels and surpasses merely prioritizing the number of followers. 

To me, a measure of determining impressive engagement and value to a potential client or brand - leading with understanding the privilege of building a platform. The reason why I invest my time and energy, pour my heart and life into curating this personal brand is to put the influence back in the title “Influencer” through leading with intention on the content I share. How many lives can’t you positively change? How people can approach you tell you that you’ve assisted in their personal and personal growth journey or helped navigate them to reframe their mindset? 

Remember why you started. In order, to be successful - you must begin. And define that success and what it looks like to you on your own terms. I’m liberated in comfortability of my slow and steady progress. That is exactly how I win the races I pursue (with the track record to prove that patience and faith pays off!) 

I’m confident in my journey as I built the foundation I stand on by aligning with collaborations that support and empower my values, morals, identity and remain true to who I am.
