Ep. 1 Of Documenting My Journey In the Bronx Puerto Rican Cultural Pageant 👸🏽🇵🇷🤴🏽🪘🏆 @thebxpuertoricanparade 

I began this series on TikTok but felt compelled to share my vulnerability transformed into strength, with my community on here as well with intentions to educate, empower, and resonate. This video was initially well over 10 minutes but a snippet into who I am.

In each individual video in this series, I will be documenting my timeline as a contestant - but sharing my growth as an individual as well - expanding my knowledge further on my ancestry, and culture through this commitment and responsibility I am taking on proudly. As I represent my late grandmothers hometown, Guanica - I will showcase everything I learn about her pueblo that allows me learn more about myself in the same process. I will open up in this series on how my dedication to this cultural pageant is simultaneously healing my inner child as I understand who I am and where I’m truly from, on a beautiful, undiscovered new level. 

I will be documenting how I am surpassing my comfort zone through all challenges presented that are leading me to becoming the most confident version of who I am to lead with the highest professionalism.

Upcoming episodes in this series will include ✨ how I am developing my Spanish proficiency as a Nuyorican who is accustomed to Spanglish, my first experience learning the Bomba y Plena dance, and overall - documenting how this all connects and aligns to being reminded of who I am. 

My intention? Documenting this journey to be a testimony how internally rewarding it is to commit to having faith in yourself. To empower our community through taking the lead. We contribute to a positive chain reaction of influence through being the change and setting the tone for future generations and making our ancestors proud!
