Part 2 🗣️Supporting A Latina Business @itskimflow ✨ While representing my core values, unpacking the “In My “I don’t care” “El Que Diran” Era” 💅🏽🗣️

THAT is a message to the masses that I’m so proud to amplify on my physical body as a statement. Being a creative individual AND an entrepreneur has required an intricate and complex balancing art of mastering deeply caring about the genuine connections I build and foster, while understanding where to draw the line of prioritizing self as much as I wholeheartedly pour into every other individual. This journey has consisted of an obligation to care enormously of how I am visually perceived - not for internal validation but in a literal sense of how I am seen from businesses, brands, clients, consumers and the community I’ve grown through the entire foundation of publicly branding myself.  I have had to endure the process of unlearning how to create a balance between what is genuinely important to care about - and that is - authentically utilizing and leveraging my platform to embody the change I desire to see in this industry, in this world, in who I am, in being the woman my ancestors prayed for and dreamed of. 

Along the way, of course, my work is deeply undermined and I have led a lifetime of being intensely misunderstood for my unorthodox career pursuit, for my larger than life aspirations, for daring to creating a legacy on my terms against societal standards, for evolving into womanhood audaciously resilient, for fiercely living through “not caring” in the most delicate way conceivable. I understand that because I care so much - it is my birthright to NOT care about the opinions of others strategically, in order to complete my life’s purpose of helping others do the very same by practicing what I preach. 

Our job is to focus on what we can control. Our narrative of who we are. Understanding that what anyone else thinks of us is none of our business. As long as you know you are living intentionally with pure intentions and an honest heart - let them talk. You know who you are, and all that you are is changing lives. Yes, you.
