From the girlscaninc ‘s 5th Annual Youth Enrichment Summit. Had the honor to mentoring the brilliant young girls on developing self-confidence and having authentic conversations on the journey to loving yourself and being transparent about what that entails. 

Those who know me from the merely off of what I visually share across my social media, will assume that content creation is my greatest passion. Not at all. It is however, an outlet of self expression and a powerful tool I’ve leveraged to my advantage to successfully create opportunities for myself that otherwise wouldn’t never been possible without advocating for myself in the curation of building a personal brand from the ground up. I did not have the luxury or privilege to receive guidance, mentorship or have a healthy support system where I felt validated, celebrated or recognized for who I am. October is #domesticviolenceawareness month and I am a survivor. I am not a product of my circumstances but a product of my decisions. I had every weapon formed against me as a young girl - and none prospered. I was not at fault for all that I endured, but I am responsible for my healing. And that is the intricate lesson I took the initiative independently to rescue my future. I actively became my own biggest support system in nurturing my purpose so that the love I gave to myself would see the blossoming effects of being able to empower other young girls who were like me, to have a fighting chance at freedom in this life to be unapologetically themselves and reclaim that inner power. 

My greatest passion is being the change I need to see in this world. It’s through mentorship, through actively going out of my way to do the complex inner healing to better be of service to myself, so that I can contribute to creating authentic impact in others. So that a chain reaction of real influence occurs in one person and that one person who I’m able to connect to, resonate with and truly get through to, can and will go on to proceed to do the same with all those they come in contact with in this world.
