We fell in love with @maunalaniauberge , a luxury resort on the Kohala Coast of the Big Island, our destination for our recent babymoon (last trip before baby arrives 🥰) I’d go back to Hawaii just to stay here again.

Nestled between ancient lava fields and crystal-clear waters, the resort feels like a sacred sanctuary—where Hawaiian culture meets barefoot luxury.

The staff is warm and welcoming, and the property is absolutely stunning. Every detail—from the native landscaping to the locally inspired decor—feels intentional and respectful of its setting.

When we arrived, we were greeted with a beautiful lei and a refreshing welcome drink, then walked through a tropical oasis to our ocean-view room.

But my favorite parts? There are a lot…

The beachfront access, morning snorkeling directly from the beach, swimming with turtles, the multiple pools, the breakfast buffet, meeting the resident mascot @maunalanimika , sunset cocktails at the Surf Shack, and a beachfront dinner under the stars at CanoeHouse. The vibe is elegant yet relaxed—pure aloha spirit.

They also offer lots of cultural activities like ukulele lessons, lei making, outrigger canoe mornings, and so much more. And the Auberge spa? Incredible.

The resort also has a @goop retail store on property and complimentary @mercedesbenz cars to take out and explore the surrounding areas—we were blown away.

Highly recommend splurging and staying here if you’re headed to the Big Island!
