📍 Located at 3862 24th Street, directly across from Noe Valley Town Square, the shop opened its doors in 2024, marking the brand’s first U.S. mainland location

Founded in 2015 by childhood friends Matt Hong and Zak Barry, Banán began as a food truck near Oahu’s Diamond Head. The concept was born out of their college kitchens in California, where they experimented with banana-based desserts

Their mission is to offer a healthier, dairy-free alternative to traditional ice cream, using bananas as the base for their creamy soft serve

The menu features a variety of tropical flavors such as Strawberry Liliko’i (passionfruit), Chocolate Haupia (coconut), and Acai Berry. Toppings include granola, macadamia nut honey butter, and fresh fruits, served in a papaya or pineapple boat for an authentic Hawaiian experience. 

They also partner with San Francisco’s @bpatisserie on some amazing flavors like strawberry shortcake and more
