Can you believe these beach front cottages are campsites? 🌊 🏠 Here’s a tour of Crystal Cove Beach Cottage 9…each one is different and unique! 📌 Save this post to help plan your stay!

I get more questions about the Crystal Cove State Park beach cottages than anywhere else we’ve stayed! These are restored historic cottages, so it’s more like glamping by the beach ✨

What’s included: 
✔️ Beds and/ or Sofabed + bedding
✔️ Running water + hot showers 
✔️ Flush toilets
✔️ Electricity
✔️ Kitchen with microwave, toaster, fridge and freezer 

All you need to bring is clothes, toiletries, beach gear, and a camp stove / food (if you want to cook). If not, you can grab food nearby at the:

Staying here is so special… but these cottages are NOT easy to book 😅

Here’s some tips to book👇:
1️⃣ create an account on www.reservecalifornia.com
2️⃣ be ready to book 6 months out (be logged in before 8AM) 
3️⃣ check for cancellations (usually they appear around 1-2 weeks out). If you find one with a 🔒 icon, be ready to try booking it the next morning at 8AM
4️⃣ try your luck with the same-day last min availability lottery held at the check in Cottage 35 at 11am
5️⃣ don’t focus on a particular cottage - every cottage is special ✨ 

Real talk… it takes me several tries before I can score a cottage reservation, I’ve only managed to get one on cancellation, and I’ve never been able to book one during  the summer. Being flexible (and local) have helped the most.
