After 46 years… I finally saw the northern lights!!! 🌌💛

I’m still in awe and feeling so so grateful (and tired lol). Two unforgettable nights—11/9 and 11/10—watching the sky dance above us in Fairbanks. This has been a lifelong dream come true. I’ve been obsessed—checking my aurora forecast app daily despite living in Southern California, where the odds are <0.1% 😅 ever since that one time they were visible in Joshua Tree May 2024.

Our family spent 4 days, 3 nights in Fairbanks chasing the light and magic, and I can’t wait to share our Alaska trip recap soon. Be forewarned: there will be a lot of aurora photos and videos coming to my feed over the next few weeks!

To top things off, I heard tonight has been incredible! We missed it because we have been on a plane home all day, but I heard it was visible across much of northern U.S. tonight 11/11 and am seeing so many beautiful captures pop up on my feed 🙌
