When I first went away, I was running. I hated my life at home, left, lived my best life away… then came back and hated it all over again. A vicious cycle that made leaving feel easy. Leaving felt like an escape — but the problems were still there no matter what.

Now I’ve finally healed. I’ve learned to love where I’m from, stopped running away from myself, and built a life there.
But then I realised something even harder.

I realised I didn’t actually hate home anymore… it just wasn’t for me.

And leaving with that mindset is ten times harder.
Because now you’re faced with the reality of: I love my life, but it doesn’t feel like my truest self.

Leaving in that place is difficult. You feel guilty, confused, lost. But the truth is — you’re doing what’s right for you. You’re moving towards a dream life that embodies all of you.

And honestly? That’s the hardest thing to do.

And I want to see as many people as possible in this beautiful world do it too 🤍
