I know I’m about four months late to sharing my plans for the year but better late than never, right?

At the start of this year, I took a long, hard look at my life.

And I decided that whatever I do this year, I want to do it for love.
Love as care.
Love as responsibility.
Love as connection.

In the years leading up to this point, I’d found myself slowly consumed by metrics: growth, performance, returns. Even the platforms we use to share ideas tend to punish slowness, softness, and sincerity. They reward productivity, not presence.

And I don’t think I want to be consumed that way anymore.

Together, my partner (The Tatler) and I (The Critic) are writing The Scholarly Letter: a weekly publication rooted in our shared love for knowledge, research, and science.

It’s a project nurtured by care, curiosity, and intellectual joy.

It’s not very often in life that you meet someone who’s as passionate as you are about ideas. It’s even more rare to fall in love with that person.

Ours is a love that’s not just about each other: it’s made stronger by a shared love for something else. A purpose. A pursuit.

We don’t really know where we’re going with this project. And that’s okay.

Because right now, it’s our way of sending love letters to each other. We read. We think. We find something cool. And we write it down.

We write to each other, and we write to you.
Each Letter is a space where our minds meet: where our thoughts get to dance with each other, week after week.
