✨25-year milestone alert✨
From being hired out of college to being around when the first Xbox console launched to working with national partners and customers and now being a campus director at Microsoft Charlotte—what an incredible journey! Happy 25th, James!

“In September 1999, I joined Microsoft as a college hire and Support Engineer in Charlotte, NC. I expected to work here for two to three years tops. I had no idea how many amazing people I would meet or how many different opportunities I could have in 25 years at one company. Thank you to the friends who joined me along the way and everyone who came to celebrate a little early yesterday! 

Looking back, I remember being in Redmond the night we launched the first Xbox console. I worked on the Windows Server 2003 beta. As a Microsoft employee I got to support The White House IT-transformation during the first Obama administration and supported lots of other amazing customers and partners across DOE, USDA, and Commerce. I loved being part of a global team in Office 365 Messaging for a few years with peers all around the world. Now I’ve spent the last eight years as a software engineering leader in finance and revenue reporting tooling and the last five years as the campus director for our Microsoft Charlotte site, part of our East & Gulf Coast Engineering and Research Community. Thank you to everyone who contributed to my learning and growth along the way!”
