## Caption

Add Color coded drop down list in Excel with just two Excel features.

1) Add drop down lists using the data validation option

Select all cells
Go to Data tab and select Data validation under data tools
Select List and list out all the options you want in the drop down under source
Hit enter and you have your drop down list

2) Add colors using conditional formatting 

Select all cells
Go to Home Tab > Conditional Formatting > Highlight Cell > Text that contains 
Enter the text and select the Color you want
Repeat and add rules for all the options
